Tracey Marshall announced Tuesday the celebratory signing of Jaylene Riley ahead of the 2026 campaign. Riley arrives at York College after playing three junior varsity seasons and one campaign with the Franklin K. Lane softball squad.Â
"I chose to enroll at York because the community, the opportunities for growth, and the support system here made it a perfect fit for me. Being a Cardinal means representing resilience, hard work, and pride both on and off the field."-Jaylene Riley
During her high school playing days, Riley represented Queens in the 2025 Battle of the Boroughs All-Star Tournament. At York, Riley is expected to play the infield and major in psychology.
"Jaylene will be an excellent fit for our program as she was teammates with Jaymie Mateo at Franklin K. Lane. A true competitor that will be an asset to our program, she has tremendous love and knowledge of the sport and will work hard both on the field and in the classroom."-Tracey Marshall
