York College, located in Jamaica, Queens is one of 11 eleven senior colleges in the City University of New York. York was founded in 1967 and enrolls approximately 8,200 students. The college currently offers 67 baccalaureate degrees (learn more) as well as a five master's degrees (learn more).
York College, home of the Cardinals, offers 17 varsity teams that compete at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III level as a member of the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC).Â

Brief History
The Cardinals have captured 31 CUNYAC Championships in their history, with Men's Outdoor Track & Field leading the way with seven of those titles. In 2010, York won five conference titles, the most in school history for one season.

Athletic Eligibility
To be eligible to participate in intercollegiate athletics, a student must:
1. Meet the admissions requirements of the college.
2. Be a full-time matriculated student carrying at least 12 degree credits (or equated credits).
3. Meet the minimum requirements for good academic standing and making reasonable progress toward a degree (complete 24 credits per school year).
4. Comply with NCAA Division III rules and regulations, as well as meeting conference eligibility requirements.
5. Student-athletes are eligible to compete for four seasons of intercollegiate competition in any one sport, spanning 10 full-time semesters (15 quarters) of college attendance.
