www.YORKATHLETICS.com)Ā York College men's and women's swimming authored four personal records and produced points in two events Sunday to close out the 2024 CUNYAC Championships hosted by Lehman College inside The APEX.Ā The Cardinals finished the CUNYAC Championships with 12 points to take third place in the men's meet, while the women totaled five points to place sixth.Ā In total, York combined to register 10 season-best performances at the same time as scoring in five events over the three-day meet
For the Cardinal men,
Richard Reyes swam the arduous 1,650-yard freestyle, producing four points with a time of 23:22.80 (5th). Reyes finishes his first CUNYAC Championships for the Cardinals with 12 points.Ā
Jeremy Sapeg erased 11.13 off of his seed time in the 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 1:23.75 (17th). Also cementing a personal best was
Wood-by Paulemont, who trimmed 7.95 off his previous record in the 100-yard freestyle to clock in at 1:32.98 (21st place).
On the women's side,
Julia Wyman set a season-high result in the 100-yard freestyle at 1:04.51 (8th place), generating one point. This performance topped Wyman's previous high by 1:87.Ā Wyman concluded her inaugural championship meet with five points.Ā Ā
