FLUSHING, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's volleyball freshman Ahmed Algendy  landed on the 2023 CUNYAC Men's Volleyball Sportsmanship Team, announced Thursday by league officials. 

"Ahmed appreciates everyone he meets when playing volleyball. He treats everyone with respect and is an example of how student-athletes should act on and off the court."-said head coach Anthony Reyes

Appearing in 31 sets, the Queens native paced York's attack, leading the program in assists.

"It is an honor to win this award and I would like to thank my coaches and teammates for all the support and staff for helping us with everything."-stated Algendy

This achievement is Algendy's second CUNYAC distinction of his career, claiming a 2021 CUNYAC men's soccer second-team All-Star selection.
