BRONX, N.Y.—The York College men's cross country team placed fifth at the 2017 CUNY Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday.
York finished with 157 points in the 8k race at Van Cortlandt Park. CCNY earned a convincing victory, scoring 45 points. Hunter College placed second, followed by Lehman College and Baruch College. Brooklyn College was sixth and Medgar Evers College was seventh.
Kaylash Autar led York with a 26th-place finish with a time of 32:58.4.
Terrell Trumpet was 28th in 33:16.6 and
Gregory Klimaytis placed 33rd in 33:58.9
The women's cross country team did not score as a team, but
Alana Johnson led the Cardinals with a 21st-place finish in the 6k race with a time of 29:25.2. Hunter College won the women's race, placing all five of its runners in the top ten.
York will now set its sights on indoor track and field season.
