www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's and women's cross country continued their season Saturday at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) Invitational, held at Branch Brook Park in Newark, New Jersey.Â
On the men's side,
Michael Zhang led the Cardinals in the 8K race, finishing in 32:12.17 (98th).
Bryan Ortiz followed with a time of 32:55.10 (111th).
Ben Sydell of Army West Point took the top individual spot, crossing the finish line in 25:06.70. With the first five runners to finish, the Black Knights captured the team title with a perfect score of 15 points.
In the women's 5K race,
Keanna Clouden paced the Cardinals with a time of 28:36.10 (101st), while
Sendya Deravin followed in 35:48.80 (109th).
Buoyed by first-place finisher Erin Rapin (17:43.9), the Black Knights generated the top team score of 19 points.

The Cardinals return to the trails Sunday (Oct. 19) for the Mount Saint Mary College Fall Festival starting at 11 a.m. from the Hudson Valley Sports Dome in Milton, New York.
