Swimming Drops Conference Meet to Baruch
NEW YORK, NY— The York College men's and women's swimming teams each were defeated by Baruch College Monday night, in a CUNY Athletic Conference meet. The women lost 98-68, while the men fell by a score of 92-73.
Leading the way once again for York was
Averie Mohammed, who earned second-place finishes in the 50-meter freestyle and the 100-meter freestyle.
Alexandra Castro also had a second place finish in the 200-meter individual medley.
For the men, Kyle Gomes placed third in both the 200-meter freestyle and the 100-meter butterfly.
The men fall to 1-3, 0-1 in the CUNYAC, while the women drop to 1-4, 0-2 in the CUNYAC. Both teams will swim at Brooklyn College on December 2.
