www.YORKATHLETICS.com)Â York College men's and women's swimming competed Wednesday evening against the Lehman College Lightning (M: 2-6, 1-1 CUNYAC / W: 2-8, 1-2 CUNYAC) and the Maritime College Privateers (M: 8-3 / W: 3-9) at the APEX Swimming Pool. Scored as a tri-meet, the York women finished with seven points in head-to-head competition against Lehman (57) and Maritime (92), while the Cardinal men totaled nine points against Lehman (24) and Maritime (120).
On the women's side,
Elizabeth Astudillo earned a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 37.38 and added a third-place showing in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching the wall in 2:09.38.
For the men,
Darien Davis led the Cardinals by capturing first-place points in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:11.85, accounting for all nine of York's points.
Wood-by Paulemont touched the wall in 32.13 to finish sixth in the 50-yard freestyle and competed as the lone swimmer in the 200-yard backstroke time trial, posting a time of 3:36.93. In the 100-yard freestyle,
Tyrone Morris (2:07.87) and
Brandon Smith (2:31.41) represented York.
The squad of Smith, Davis, Paulemont, and Morris combined to place fourth in the 200-yard medley relay, finishing in 3:43.28.

The Cardinals (M: 1-4, 0-3 CUNYAC / W: 0-5, 0-3 CUNYAC) return to the pool Saturday (Jan. 17) for a tri-meet against the Mount Saint Mary College Knights (M: 1-2Â W: 2-1) and John Jay College Bloodhounds (W: 2-7, 1-2 CUNYAC) starting at 12 p.m. from Kaplan Center Pool in Newburgh, New York.
