NEW YORK --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) The CUNYAC has recognized York College's Elizabeth Astudillo as a member of the 2025-26 Women's Swimming Sportsmanship Team, announced Thursday by league officials. With this laurel, York has produced eight Sportsmanship Team members since 2014-15.  

In her first season with the program, Astudillo swam in all seven meets, generating 14 top-five individual finishes and eight top-three results. A fixture in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard freestyle, 100-yard backstroke, and the 100-yard breaststroke, the Queens native produced 11th-place outcomes in the CUNYAC Championships during the 100-yard freestyle (1:24.37) and the 100-yard breaststroke (2:09.63). Her time in the 100-yard freestyle was a career-high.

In another year in which the program competed with a small roster, Astudillo was the squad's lone competitor at every meet, leading by example while showing the utmost respect for her teammates, opponents, coaches, officials, and staff.
