Brian Kim was tabbed by the CUNYAC as the Men's Volleyball Rookie of the Week for matches played February 2-8. This honor is Kim's first-career CUNYAC recognition and the program's first Rookie of the Week selection since
Sebastian Gomez last April.
Shining for the Cardinals in a 1-1 week, the freshman totaled 26 kills on 72 swings and scooped up 24 digs. Facing Pratt (Feb. 3) in a road battle, Kim recorded eight kills (.500 rate) and five digs. He produced his first-career double-double in a five-set triumph over Yeshiva two days later, spiking down 18 kills and totaling 19 blocks as well.
Over four matches, Kim has accumulated 31 kills, four aces, and 31 digs, placing ninth amongst CUNYAC athletes in digs p/set (2.07).

Kim and the Cardinals return to battle Tuesday (Feb. 10) for a home matchup against the Baruch College Bearcats starting at 6 p.m. inside York College Gymnasium.
