Alexis Ramirez has been tabbed to the nine-member 2026 CUNYAC Men's Volleyball Preseason Player to Watch list, announced Thursday by the league office. This conference laurel is his first as a Cardinal.
Playing in 19 matches for York last season, Ramirez was a key part of the squad's offensive and defensive output, smacking down 125 kills on 436 total attacks (.108 percentage), serving 28 aces, and scooping up 87 digs. Overall, he ranked fourth on the team in digs, third in kills, total attacks, and points (158), and second in aces. The outside hitter / right side accumulated a career-best 26.5 points in a five-set triumph against Bryn Athyn College (Feb. 15) last season, generating 19 kills, six aces, and 1.5 total blocks. Overall, Ramirez has recorded 243 kills and 284.5 points in 38 matches across two seasons.
According to the coaches, the Cardinals will finish in eighth place this upcoming campaign.

Conference debutant New Jersey City University garners the most points (58) and first place votes (6), while Baruch College follows with 57 points and three first-place nods. York College accumulated 18 points in the poll. The Cardinals' seven-match conference slate begins with a home matchup against the Baruch College Cougars on February 10.
The 2026 CUNYAC Championship begins on April 7 (first round), with the semifinals scheduled for April 9 and the finals for April 10. The league champion receives an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
The Cardinals begin their season Tuesday (Jan. 27) against the University of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins in a non-conference home battle starting at 6 p.m. inside York College Gymnasium.
