STATEN ISLAND ---(www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's and women's indoor track & field performed against competition from NCAA Division I, II, and III, as well as NJCAA levels on Saturday at the Big Apple Invitational inside Ocean Breeze Park Athletic Complex. 
   
Men's Performance Breakdown

• Richard Reyes turned in York's top time in two events to highlight the Cardinals.  
• In the 1,000-meter run, Reyes placed second overall in a time of 2:56.14.
• Reyes also paced York in the mile-long race in 5:02.09 (29th place), while Ernest Bawilliam (5:14.83) and Michael Zhang (35th) followed 32 and 35th, respectively.  
• Suwesi Richards debuted in the 60-meter dash (53rd, 8.03), and also competed in the 200-meter dash in 26.76, finishing two spots behind York's top finisher in Chris Merilan (51st, 26.01)
• Merilan led the charge in the 400-meter race with a performance time of 1:01.64 (46th place), and was closely trailed by Bryan Ortiz (48th, 1:02.36) and Richards (49th, 1:06.14).
• York competed with four runners in the 800-meter event, led by Bawilliam, who finished first among the Cardinals' quartet in 26th place (2:21.75), followed by Zhang in 28th (2:23.77), Ortiz in 29th (2:32.19), and Merilan rounding out the group in 30th (2:42.07).
• Ahmed Algendy launched the shot put a distance of 7.84 meters (34th) as George Molina's toss went 7.09 meters (35th).

Women's Performance Breakdown

• Keanna Clouden cemented a personal record in the 60-meter dash by shaving .08 off her previous best to cross the finish line in 9.55 (53rd).  
• Clouden also set her best indoor 400-meter time, finishing in 1:24.53 (29th).
• Sherley Bonne-Annee competed in the 200-meter dash  (56th, 34.22) for the first time and also represented York in the shot put (31st, 6.38m).
• Jordeena Jervis made her debut in the Cardinal lineup in the the 60-meter dash (54th,12.02)
