NEW YORK --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College's Bryan Ortiz was recognized Monday by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) as part of the 2025-26 Men's Indoor Track & Field Sportsmanship Team.

Competing in all of the squad's six meets, Ortiz was a fixture in the 60-meter and 200-meter competitions. He placed ninth in the 200-meter event (27.03 seconds) at the CUNYAC Championships and tied a career-high in the 60-meter sprint (8.46 seconds) at the conference year-end event. 

With this distinction, the indoor men's track program has now produced eight Sportsmanship Team members and one Sportsmanship Award recipient in the past nine years. For Ortiz, this is his first career CUNYAC Sportsmanship laurel, adding to his Silver medal in the 2025 CUNYAC Indoor Championships (Distance Medley Relay) and Bronze in the 2023 CUNYAC Outdoor Championships (4x100-Meter Relay).
