NEW YORK --- (
www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's swimming competed Tuesday in a CUNYAC road matchup against the John Jay College Bloodhounds (4-8, 2-2 CUNYAC) and Lehman College Lightning (3-7) inside John Jay Pool.
The Cardinals fell by the final count of 79-3 to the Lightning and 73-3 versus John Jay.
Nayelly Rojas paced York with a trio of third-place finishes. In the 50-yard freestyle, Rojas clocked in at 51.88, followed by an effort of 1:55.74 in the 100-yard freestyle. Rojas also touched the wall in 2:19.58 in the 100-yard backstroke event.
"Nayelly's efforts are consistent and as a result, her times have improved significantly."-said coach Stephanie Taibe
