Quran Dublin as a first-team All-Star while junior
Devine Chisholm landed on the second-team. Senior
Guillermo Hernandez was tabbed to the seven-member CUNYAC Sportsmanship Team. The trio advanced York to the CUNYAC Championship semifinals for the first time since 2014-15.
Dublin, a native of New York, is averaging 21.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 2.0 steals per contest while shooting 44.3 percent (179-of-404) from the field, 34.8 percent (57-of-164) from 3-point range and 88.3 percent (83-of-94) from the free-throw line in 23 games. The two-time CUNYAC Player of the Week leads the league in points (498), free-throw percentage and minutes per game (36.0). Dublin ranks among the CUNYAC leaders in points per game (2nd), assists per game (T-4th), steals per game (T-9th), rebounds per game (T-15th), field goal percentage (6th) and 3-point percentage (6th). In the latest NCAA Division III Rankings Summary, Dublin is cited 21st in points per game, 26th in free-throw percentage, 26th in minutes per game, 35th in points and 44th in field-goals made. The first-team honor is the program's first since Omar St. John in 2013-14. In addition to the CUNYAC weekly awards, Dublin also garnered a pair of Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Honorable Mention distinctions and one Co-Player of the Week selection.
Hailing from Brooklyn, Chisholm contributed 13.5 points, 4.3 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 0.8 steals in 23 games. Chisholm knocks down 39 percent (94-of-241) from the floor, 28.6 percent (26-of-91) from 3-point territory and 79.3 percent (96-of-121) from the charity stripe. He ranks among the CUNYAC's best in free-throw percentage (3rd), assists per game (6th) and points per game (T-13th). Having previously garnered second-team laurels in 2019-20, Chisholm, the 2018-19 CUNYAC Rookie of the Year is the program's first two-time CUNYAC All-Star since Tony Vails, who was named to the first-team in 2012-13 after earning a spot on the second-team in 2011-12.
Hernandez, a product of New York, is York's fourth sportsmanship selection in as many seasons. In 21 contests at the forward position, Hernandez is averaging a career-high 8.3 points, 9.5 rebounds, 0.9 blocks, 0.9 assists and 0.8 steals while connecting on 58.6 percent (78-of-133) from the field and 63.3 percent (19-of-30) from the free-throw line.
