JAMAICA, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College head men's basketball coach Clarence Emengo announced Saturday the commitment of Tony Chau ahead of the 2026-27 season. 

Chau spent the last campaign with the University of Charleston Golden Eagles of the Mountain East Conference in Division II. Before his college exploration, he was a three-year varsity standout at Cosby High School in Virginia. 

On the court, the guard will improve the team's offense with his long-range shooting and ball handling. Academically, he maintained a 4.0 at the University of Charleston and intends to pursue exercise science at York College.

Chau joins Seddig Etorki of Broome Street Academy (read more) and Edgardo Sanchez Jr. of SUNY Adirondack (read more) as Cardinal commitments for the 2026-27 season.
