NEW YORK, N.Y.-- The York College women's swimming team fell to Hunter College, 60-24, in its season opener on Friday night.

Hunter dominated the meet, winning every event in convincing fashion. York's best finish was from Shanutsha Kanhai, who placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:30.22.

York will host its home opener on Thursday vs. the College of New Rochelle and Queens College at 6 p.m.
