The number four-seeded York men's volleyball team (13-20, 9-7 CUNYAC) is set to face number one seeded-Baruch College (17-12, 15-1 CUNYAC) in the CUNYAC semifinals Friday at 6 pm after defeating City College of New York Tuesday night.

In the first match of the year, Baruch defeated York 3-0 (25-8, 25-10, 25-18). York was led by Randy Adam's who had six kills on the day. Stephen Roach helped power Baruch past York as he had 10 kills in the game. Teammate Jacob Rudin was not far behind with eight.Â

In their second meeting, Baruch won again in straight sets. (25-17,25-8,25-9) Baruch dominated the match, hitting .456 while holding the Cardinals to a negative hitting percentage. York only managed 15 kills as team with four coming from Randy Adam's and
Frederis Tapia. Â
Part of Baruch's success this season comes from senior Brady Ambro. Ambro has 3.51 kills per set which is good for fifth in the conference. As a team Baruch leads the CUNYAC in kills per set, assists per set, and also is second in hitting percentage behind Hunter College.  York has been led by Adams, who is averaging 3.05 kills per set and boasts a .305 hitting percentage.Â

The winner of this match will go on to play in the CUNYAC championship which will take place immediately after at 8 pm. The winner of this semifinal match will go on to face the winner of number three-seeded John Jay (16-11, 11-5 CUNYAC) and two-seeded Hunter College. (22-9, 15-1 CUNYAC)
