NEW YORK, N.Y.—The York College women's swimming team competed in its second meet of the young season on Tuesday night and fell to John Jay College, 50-35.

The Cardinals were led once again by Kerry-Ann Bailey, who won the 100-yard freestyle in dominating fashion with a time of 1:11.78.  The next best swimmer was 12 seconds behind her.

However, that would be the only win for York as John Jay took first in every other event.  Christina Parthenis led John Jay to the victory, picking up wins in the 1,000-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle.

York is now 0-2 overall and 0-2 in the CUNYAC, while John Jay is 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the CUNYAC.

The Cardinals return to action on Friday for their home opener.  York hosts both Bard College and the College of Mt. St. Vincent in a double dual meet at 6 p.m.
