JAMAICA, N.Y.— York College men's volleyball player
Maximo Bonilla recorded a career-high 14 kills, while hitting .650 (14-1-20) to lead the Cardinals a to a 3-0 (25-5, 25-12, 25-10) victory over Medgar Evers College.
York is now 11-4, 5-1 in the CUNYAC and has won its last six matches. The Cardinals had no trouble extending its winning streak this evening, as they hit .443 as a team—its second highest total of the season. York also held the Cougars to a hitting percentage of -.241—the lowest percentage they've allowed this season.
Also contributing for York was
Leszek Stankiewicz, who had five kills, a .667 hitting percentage and four solo blocks.
Randy Adams chipped in six kills with a .357 percentage.
Medgar Evers got a team-high six kills from Austin Crawford. The Cougars drop to 0-7, 0-5 in the CUNYAC.
York will return to action on Saturday with a road match against Sarah Lawrence College at 11 a.m.
