Shamburger Wins Three Times but York Falls to John Jay

NEW YORK, N.Y.— The York College women's swim team returned to the pool on Tuesday following Christmas break, but fell to John Jay College, 64-19. Despite the loss,
Sandra Shamburger shined again for the Cardinals, winning three events.
Shamburger started things off by winning the 1000-free in a time of 12:52.56 and later won the 100-back in 1:13.62. She then capped off her night by besting four other swimmers in the 50-freestyle, finishing in a time of 30.40.
York falls to 0-6 overall and 0-4 in the CUNYAC. John Jay improves to 4-3, 2-3 CUNYAC. The Cardinals will visit the College of Staten Island on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
