Women’s Basketball Downed by Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.— The York College women's basketball team struggled against first-place Staten Island, losing by a score of 73-36, on Wednesday night.
Staten Island is 14-3 this year and holds a perfect, 9-0 mark in CUNYAC play. They showed why tonight as they dominated action.
CSI got a big night from Melanie Johnson, who scored 25 points, had six assists, six rebounds and four steals. Katelyn Hepworth and Megan Myhre each chipped in 15 points.
York (2-14, 1-8 CUNYAC) was led by
Shauncia McClendon, who had 15 points and seven boards.
Stayce Kay Muirhead grabbed 12 rebounds and had five points.
The Cardinals will host Berkeley on Monday at 6 p.m.
