www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's basketball wrapped up its CUNYAC road slate on the road against the Brooklyn College Bulldogs (21-3, 13-0 CUNYAC), dropping a 102-34 decision at the West Quad Center Gymnasium.
How it Happened
- Brooklyn raced out of the gates with a 9-0 advantage. Baskets by Beautifull Earth and Amaniya Aiken got York into the scoring column at 12-4 with 5:05 remaining in the opening stanza.
- Ahead by double-digits (16-6), the Bulldogs netted the following 13 points to up 29-6 with 57 seconds showing on the first quater clock.
- Adunoluwa Akinduyi scored seven of the 13 points during that stretch.
- A subsequent layup by Earth closed out the stanza at 29-8.
- Continuing the momentum into the second stanza, Brooklyn outpaced the Cardinals 27-1, taking a 56-9 edge into the locker room.
- York found more of an offensive footing in the second half, netting 25 total points.
- Aiken contributed nine of the team's 13 points in the third, and Earth dropped eight points in the final frame.
Leading the Cardinals
- Earth recorded her fifth-career double-double, totaling 15 points and 10 rebounds, to go along with two steals.
- Aiken matched Earth's 15-point mark and added a team-leading three steals.
- Chamiya Foy chipped in with four points and secured a team-best 11 rebounds (five offensive).
For Brooklyn
- Anna Kitch produced a game-high 18 points (7-of-14 FG, 2-of-5 3FG) and hauled in a team-best eight rebounds.
- Brianna Jackson provided 15 points (6-of-9 FG, 2-of-5 FG) and dished out a game-leading six assists.
- Defensively, Akinduyi (5), Ameea Daniel (4), Dior Dorsey (4), Danae McMullen (4), and Sheily Quezada (4) combined for 21 of the team's 36 steals.
- Quezada also paced the squad with four rejections.

York shot 22.4 percent (13-of-58) from the field, connected on one three-pointer, and went 77.8 percent (7-of-9) from the free-throw line. Brooklyn finished 41.2 percent (40-of-97) from the floor, knocked down nine shots from beyond the arc, and added 13 made free throws. The Bulldogs controlled the glass, 62-44, and held advantages in assists (25-3), steals (36-6), and blocks (5-1). Brooklyn's 36 steals forced 45 York turnovers, which the Bulldogs converted into 46 points off turnovers and 34 fast-break points.
