NEW YORK --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College's Tyla Hooks was honored Thursday by the City University of New York Athletic Conference (CUNYAC) as a member of the 2025-25 Women's Basketball Sportsmanship Team. With this laurel, the program has now generated a Sportsmanship Team representative for seven consecutive campaigns. 

Appearing in 16 contests, Hooks provided a presence on the glass, hauling in 101 rebounds (91 defensive). Indeed, her 91 defensive boards trailed only Chamiya Foy. On a game-to-game basis, she recorded double-digit rebounds five times. 

"Tyla is a humble player and has left it all out on the court this season. She is a great teammate. She communicates well, listens, and does not complain. Additionally, Tyla has shown tremendous growth as a sophomore, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for her." - head coach Emmett Howell.
