Men's Volleyball Drops Two Contests at Tri-Match
LANCASTER BOX SCORE
The York College men's volleyball team dropped a pair of contests during a tri-match held at NYU-Polytechnic Friday night. The Cardinals lost to host NYU-Polytechnic by a score of 3-2 (25-19, 26-24, 25-27, 16-25, 15-11) and were swept by Lancaster Bible 3-0 (25-15, 25-15, 25-22).
NYU-Poly got a little bit of revenge over York from earlier in the week when the Cardinals defeated the Blue Jays in five sets. Once again, it took five sets to decide the match between these two evenly-matched teams.
Edner Geffard led York with 18 kills, while
Sebastien Francois registered 13 kills.
Tobi Awopetu added nine kills and setter
Glenn Vargas had 45 assists.
Terrence Sutton led York on defense with 25 digs.
Against Lancaster Bible, Geffard once again led the way, this time with 13 kills.
Jhonnattan Fernandez added five kills and two blocks.
