York Splits Multi-Match at Baruch College

NEW YORK, NY— The York College men's volleyball team split a pair of CUNY Athletic Conference matches Saturday morning, losing to Baruch 3-1 (25-16, 25-9, 22-25, 25-18) in the opening match and defeating City Tech 3-0 (25-19, 25-17, 25-23) later in the day.
Freshman Ahmed Helmi was big once again for York, slamming 21 kills in the match against Baruch and 14 kills against City Tech. He committed just one error against City Tech, hitting .765 for the match. Jhonnatan Fernandez had a solid match against Baruch recording nine kills and Terrence Sutton combined for 15 kills in his two matches.
York now stands at 6-4 overall and 2-1 in CUNY Athletic Conference play. They will visit Lehman College on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
