Baruch Too Much for York in Men’s Volleyball

NEW YORK, NY— The York College men's volleyball team was outmatched by defending CUNYAC champion Baruch College Thursday evening, losing by a score 3-0 (25-17, 25-17, 25-16).
The Bearcats hit at a .382 percentage compared to .047 for York, while also recording 37 kills to the Cardinal's 20. The Bearcats' Pablo Oliveira and Ray Satagaj each recorded a match-high eight kills, while Jesus Echevarrio added five digs and 34 assists.
York was led by freshmen Ahmedl Helmi and Terrance Sutton who picked up six kills and five kills respectively. Setter Kenan Kajtezvoic added 15 assists.
Baruch improves to 16-9, 9-0 in the CUNYAC, while York falls to 10-11, 5-4 in the CUNYAC. The Cardinals will return to action tomorrow when they take on St. Joseph's (BK) at 7:30 p.m.
