STATEN ISLAND, NY— The York College softball team was stifled by the pitching staff of the College of Staten Island as the Dolphins defeated the Lady Cardinals 10-0 and 8-0 in a CUNYAC doubleheader Saturday.

The Dolphins held York to just three hits combined on the day.  CSI's Danielle Ponsiglione tossed a complete game, striking out eight batters and allowing just one hit in game one.  In game two, Michelle Ferraiuolo allowed just two hits and struck out two in five innings of work. 

The loss drops York to 0-10, 0-4 on the season.  CSI improves to 7-5, 3-1 in the CUNYAC.
