York’s Season Ends at CUNYAC Semi-Finals

NEW YORK, NY— The York College men's volleyball team saw its 2010 season come to an end as the Cardinals fell to Baruch College, the top-ranked team in the NECVA, by a score of 3-0 (30-10, 30-13, 30-13) at Hunter College Friday evening.

 

The Bearcats (30-3) proved to be too strong for the Cardinals cruising to a sweep of York.  Pablo Oliveira led the Bearcats with nine kills, six aces and six digs, while Ratmir Gorelik added eight kills and four digs.  Setter Ivan Andujar had a match-high 24 assists.

 

York was led by Brian Francisco and Arturo Cabrera Jr. who had three kills apiece.  #Aruni Piantini# recorded a team-high six digs. 

 

The Cardinals finish the 2010 campaign with a record of 14-19.
