Men’s Volleyball Scores 26 Straight Points In Win over St. Joseph’s

JAMAICA, NY— The York College men's volleyball team cruised to a 3-0 (30-19, 30-8, 30-20) win over St. Joseph's College (BK) on Wednesday evening. The Cardinals ran off 26 straight points between the second and third sets in the rout.
With York leading 11-8 and Bryan Williams serving, the Cardinals ran off the final 19 points to take the second set. Then with Scott Luna serving to start off the third set, York scored the first seven points before St. Joseph's got on the board.
Williams led all players with 11 kills and nine digs, while Arturo Cabrera Jr. finished with eight kills. Aruni Piantini added 21 assists and Brian Francisco banged six kills. Kenan Kajetzovic and Bronly Taveras each chipped in with five kills apiece.
York (12-12) will host the York Men's Volleyball class this Friday and Saturday.
