Women’s Swimming Drops Meet to John Jay

Pazmino Wins Two Events in Losing Effort

NEW YORK, NY— The York College women's swim team dropped a CUNY Athletic Conference meet against John Jay College Tuesday, losing by a score of 61-33.

John Jay scored wins in three of the first four events and won seven events overall. Despite the loss, York earned three first place finishes. Freshman Sara Pazmino won two events, taking first in the 200-Individual Medley and the 100-breaststroke. Dawn Davis was also victorious in the 200-freestyle.

The loss drops York's record to 2-7 (0-4 CUNYAC), while John Jay improves to 4-4 (2-2 CUNYAC). York will host Lehman on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.
