BRONXVILLE, NY— Geneva Faulk and Christina Lopez each drove in three runs apiece and pitcher Renita Raghubir allowed just one earned run over six innings to lead the York College softball team to a 10-2 victory Thursday afternoon.  The win was the first of the season for the Lady Cardinals.

With the score tied at 1-1, York exploded for six runs in the fifth and three in the sixth to take a 10-1 lead.  In the top of the fifth, Shanay Patalano, Faulk, Meriem Alahiane and Sharlene Salazar each had RBI singles, while Lopez knocked in a run with two-out double.  Lopez then drove in another two runs in the sixth with her second double of the game. 

Raghubir went the distance, allowing just five hits and striking out three. 

With the win York improves to 1-17 on the season.
