NEW YORK, NY— The York College men's volleyball team saw its season come to an end Friday as they fell to Baruch College 3-0 (30-7, 30-11, 30-17) in the semifinals of the City University of New York Athletic Conference Championships.
Baruch entered the game with a perfect 14-0 CUNYAC record and they showed it as they dominated the game from the onset. The Bearcats led nearly the entire match, trailing only briefly early in the third set.
Baruch was led by Daniel Levent who had 13 kills and a .667 hitting percentage to go along with 11 digs. Pablo Oliveira added 12 kills with a .611 hitting percentage and Jonathan Tuwaidan had a match-high 42 assists.
For York, Alex Niles led York with eight kills, while Brian Francisco had a team-high six digs. York ends its season with a record of 9-25.
