NEW YORK, NY— The York College men's volleyball team picked up a pair of conference victories Saturday at the CUNYAC multi-match held at Hunter College. York defeated Medgar Evers College 3-0 (30-7, 30-17, 30-22) in the first match and then followed it up with a 3-0 (30-13, 30-24, 30-11) triumph over Brooklyn College.

Marcin Kasza had his strongest outing of the season, recording 15 kills on 26 attempts (.462), eight digs and two blocks. Alex Niles, meanwhile, recorded a perfect hitting percentage, finishing with eight kills on eight attempts. Brian Francisco finished with five kills and nine service aces and Aruni Piantini had a match-high 32 assists.

Niles followed up his perfect outing against the Cougars with a near-perfect hitting percentage, recording ten kills on 13 attempts (.769). Brian Francisco finished with nine kills on 13 attempts (.692) and recorded a career-high eight blocks, while also digging seven balls. Piantini registered match-high 40 assists and Kasza picked up 14 kills, four aces, four digs and four blocks.
With the victories, York improves to 5-15, 4-6 in the CUNYAC. They will host St. Joseph's (BK) on Monday at 7:00 p.m.
