Bearcats too Much for York; Cardinals Fall in Three to Baruch

NEW YORK, NY— The York College men's volleyball team fell to Baruch College 3-0 (30-20, 30-20, 30-9) in a CUNY Athletic Conference match Thursday evening. The Bearcats, who now hold a record of 18-8 and 7-0 in the CUNYAC proved to be too strong for the Cardinals.
The Bearcats finished with 45 kills compared to 19 for York and had 13 aces to York's two. The Bearcats featured a balanced attack with five players recording at least five kills apiece. Eryk Kowalski led Baruch with eight. Kirill Yagnetiniskiy and Daniel Levent each had seven kills.
York got four kills apiece from Bryan Williams, Brian Francisco and Jean-Edouard Eveillard. Alex Niles led York with six digs.
York (3-15, 2-6 CUNYAC) will take on Brooklyn College and Medgar Evers College in a multi-match on Saturday on the campus of Hunter College.
