Women’s Basketball Struggles Against Undefeated William Patterson

WAYNE, NJ– The York College women's basketball lost to William Patterson University 69-48 in a non-conference match-up on Saturday afternoon.
The Lady Cardinals struggled to hold on to the ball as they committed 34 turnovers, while the Pioneers only committed 14. William Patterson took advantage of the turnovers, converting them into 28 points.
Despite the loss, York sophomore Kadisha Wickham continued her strong play, netting 18 points and grabbing ten rebounds. Maimouna Dabo paced York with seven points.
Elisa Brown and Erin Cook each scored 12 points to lead the Pioneers who improved to 7-0 on the season. With the loss, York drops to 3-4. The Lady Cardinals will host Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m.
