Zaria Neptune was named to the six-member 2024 CUNYAC Women's Soccer Preseason Player to Watch list, announced Tuesday by the league office.
York's top goal scorer with two strikes, Neptune returns to the pitch for her third campaign. In addition to her goals, the forward's five points, 16 shots, and 10 shots on target paced the Cardinals last year.
Additionally, the Cardinals were picked to finish fifth in the CUNYAC Preseason Coaches Poll.

York received 10 total points, while CCNY topped the list with 21 points, along with three first-place votes. John Jay College also received support, garnering 21 points and two first-place votes. York's five-match conference slate kicks off against Medgar Evers College on October 12.
The 2024 CUNYAC Championship will occur on November 2 (semifinals) and November 9 (finals), with the league champion receiving an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Tournament.
After going winless in 2023, first-year head coach Ovid Cosu is tasked with building the program. Along with Neptune, the squad returns talented three-year contributors

The Cardinals open their campaign Saturday (Sept. 7) against the Saint Elizabeth University Eagles (1-0) at 11 a.m. in a home non-conference encounter at the York College Outdoor Athletic Complex.
