Katryna Francois was recognized Tuesday as the CUNYAC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week following her performances during the Apr. 8-14 reporting period. This is Francois' second-career CUNYAC Track & Field Athlete of the Week laurel, as she claimed Indoor Track Athlete of the Week in February 2024.
Francois excelled in the 200-meter and 400-meter events at the Queens College Knights Invite (Apr. 12) last week. In the 400-meter dash, Francois crossed the finish line at a career-best 1:05.52 result, good enough for second in the 2024 CUNYAC Outdoor Performance List. For the 200-meter race, Francois clocked in at 29.10, placing fourth in the conference hierarchy.
Additionally, the Queens native was also part of a 4x100-meter relay team that had the best CUNYAC time (59.46) at the Queens College Invite.

Francois can add to her conference success this week with the All-American Invitational (Apr. 19) and the Jack Maloney Invitational (Apr. 20).
