NEW YORK --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's and women's indoor track & field medaled in three events, combining to produce eight personal records Sunday at the 2024 CUNYAC Indoor Championships inside the Nike Track & Field Center at The Armory.

The Cardinals earned 14 points and placed fourth in the women's meet as York totaled 12 points to take fifth place in the men's meet.  Overall, Medgar Evers College had 151.5 points in the men's championship and totaled 166 on the women's side to sweep the titles.

How it Happened at the CUNYAC Championships 

• Katryna Francois produced 14 points on her way to grabbing two medals for the Cardinal women. Francois claimed third place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.11, and obtained a silver medal for her result in the 400-meter event (1:06.49).  The one-time CUNYAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week also made the 60-meter dash finals (8.89) after a solid 8.69 preliminary score.
• Keanna Clouden continued her improvement with two career-highs. Clouden burst through at the 60-meter preliminaries at 10.52 and the 200-meter dash at 37.25.
• On the men's side, Glenver Stuart shined for York, accumulating a team-high 10 total points. Competing in the 400-meter dash, Stuart crossed the finish line at a season-best time of 55.08, good enough for four points. The junior also scored a season-best result of 2:11.57 in the 800-meter race, claiming six points and a bronze medal.
• Michael Zhang authored personal records in both the 800-meter dash (2:21.24) and the 3000-meter event (11:13.80). His time in the 3000-meter race was good enough for two points.
• Stephen Ulysse notched a record 26.51 result in the 200-meter race for one point.
• Bryan Ortiz (8.58) and Marvin Mondesir (57.21) generated personal highs in the 60-meter dash preliminaries and the 400-meter dash respectively. 
• Bryan Ortiz posted the 10th best finish in the long jump with a leap of 4.42 meters. 
• Stuart, Ulysse, Kervin Mondesir and Marvin Mondesir combined to finish the 4x400-meter relay third in 3:53.68.
