York College men's and women's cross country participated in the Medgar Evers College Legacy Invitational Sunday morning from Van Cortlandt Park, one final tune-up before next Sunday's (Oct. 27) CUNYAC Championships.
The York men generated a pair of top-10 results paced by
Richard Reyes' 8K time of 32:46.3 to place sixth out of 36 competitors.
Michael Zhang followed right behind in seventh with a result of 32:51.4.
Stephen Ulysse crossed the finish line in 11th place at a career-best outcome of 36:12.9.
Chris Merilan became the men's fourth top-25 time at 41:23.7 (24th).

Duane Foskey (54:58.4, 32nd),
Wood-by Paulemont (57:23.6, 34th),
Sasha Spruill (01:26:14.2, 36th) rounded out York's lineup.Â
York finished second overall (78 points), and CCNY won the team title with 67 points. Justin Cai of Pratt Institute was the top finisher in 31:12.3 to claim victory.Â
On the women's side,
Keanna Clouden paced York for the third time this season, covering the 6K course in 35:53.1 to finish 17th against a field of 26.Â
Tamicia Sylvester turned in a time of 43:59.2 to claim 23rd place.Â
Pratt Institute totaled 30 points to win the meet, led by Giovanna Lisa's first-place finish in 27:13.8. Â
The Cardinals return to the trails next Sunday (Oct. 27) at the CUNYAC Championships from Van Cortlandt Park starting at 9:30 a.m.
