Zaria Neptune was recognized Tuesday as the CUNYAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week Honorable Mention selection for contests between Oct. 7-13. This is the forward's first-career women's soccer CUNYAC weekly honor, and her third in all sports.
In York's conference opener against Medgar Evers College (Oct. 12), Neptune exploded with a career-best four goals in a 10-0 victory. Neptune helped the Cardinals get off to a fast start by netting her first-career game-winning goal just nine into action. The Elmont, New York native struck again in the 10th and 17th minutes to produce her first-career hat trick and later added her fourth goal at 40:04 to send York into the break with a commanding seven-score advantage.
Across seven matches in 2024, Neptune leads the team in points (12), goals (6), shots (26), and shots on goal (13). Among CUNYAC competitors, the junior ranks highly in shots (T-3rd), goals (6th), and points (T-6th).

The pacey forward looks to add to her totals this week with conference matches against Lehman College (Oct. 16) and John Jay College (Oct. 19).
