NEW YORK --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's basketball senior center Mac-Dege Dessources was named Tuesday a Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Divisions II-III Weekly Honorable Mention selection for games played January 30-February 5. This is her third honorable mention selection of the campaign. 

Dessources averaged 20.5 points, 11.0 rebounds and 3.5 steals per game while shooting 54.5 percent (18-of-33) from the field and 66.7 percent (4-of-6) from the free-throw line. In a road meeting against Baruch College (Jan. 31), Dessources poured in 24 points (11-of-16 FG) to go with six rebounds and three steals.  Dessources followed with 17 points (7-of-17 FG), 16 rebounds and four blocks, and even drained her first three-pointer of the season in a 67-28 CUNYAC triumph at home against Medgar Evers College (Feb. 3). The Harlem native pushed her season tally to 15 double-doubles and 56 for her career. 

Through 19 games, Dessources is averaging 18.1 points, 13.1 rebounds, 2.9 blocks and 1.3 steals per game. Efficiency-wise, Dessources is shooting 50 percent (140-of-280) from the floor and 64.9 percent (63-of-97) from the charity stripe.

In the latest NCAA Division III Statistical Rankings Summary, Dessources is seventh in rebounds per game, tied for seventh in double-doubles, 19th in blocks per game, 54th in points per game and 59th in field goal percentage. Additionally, Dessources is atop the CUNYAC leaderboard in rebounding and field goal percentage, and ranks highly in blocks (2nd) and scoring (5th).

Dessources and the Cardinals (10-9, 6-5 CUNYAC) look to win their second-consecutive game as they travel Wednesday (Feb. 8) to battle the City College of New York Beavers (4-17, 2-9 CUNYAC) in a CUNYAC clash at 5 p.m inside Nat Holman Gymnasium.
