FLUSHING, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College senior center Mac-Dege Dessources was named one of seven selections recognized on the 2022-23 CUNYAC/Healthfirst Women's Basketball Championship All-Tournament Team.

Leading fifth-seeded York to the postseason for the third-straight season, Dessources averaged 17.5 points, 14.5 rebounds and 2.0 blocked shots per contest while shooting 63.6 percent (14-of-22) from the field and 71.4 percent (5-of-7) from the free-throw line in two games.

In a 68-60 first-round triumph at fourth-seeded Baruch College (Feb. 18), Dessources sparked York with a dominant performance, totaling 21 points (9-of-14 FG) and 20 rebounds (10 offensive) to post her 19th double-double of the season (60th career). 

Advancing to the semifinals for the second time in three seasons, the Cardinals were unable to move past top-seeded Brooklyn College (Feb. 22) in a 73-63 defeat as Dessources registered 14 points (6-of-8 FG), nine boards and three blocks to close out her illustrious career. 

The Harlem native averaged 18.1 points, 13.1 rebounds and 2.3 blocks while establishing career-highs of 1.1 steals, 51.5 percent (175-of-340) from the field and 65.4 percent (83-of-127) from the line over 24 games in 2022-23. 

As a three-time CUNYAC All-Star, Dessources concluded her 91-game career with 1,377 points (18.1 ppg), 1298 rebounds (14.1 rpg) and 211 blocks (2.3 bpg), hitting on 48.7 percent (560-of-1150) from her he floor and 56.2 percent (254-of-452) from the charity stripe.
