Zaria Neptune has been named the CUNYAC Rookie of the Week following her efforts during the February 13-19 reporting period, announced Tuesday by league officials.
Debuting for the program on Friday (Feb. 17), Neptune impressed at the Garden State Collegiate Invite. Her score was good for sixth place in the CUNYAC Indoor Performance List. Running in the 200-meter event, Neptune went stride for stride with Hunter's Ayayo Orwa, clocking in at 29.64. Neptune's time in the 200-meter stands fourth among the CUNYAC leaders.

Neptune and the Cardinals return to action Friday (Feb. 24) at the FastTrack Last Chance Meet starting at 1 p.m. inside the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. This will be York's final tune-up ahead of Sunday's CUNYAC Championships at 10 a.m. inside New Balance Track & Field Center @ The Armory.
