NEW YORK --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College women's basketball center Mac-Dege Dessources was selected as a Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Divisions II-III Weekly Honorable Mention for games played January 9-15. She got the nod for the second consecutive week.

Dessources averaged 20.5 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game while shooting 50 percent (16-of-32) from the field and 69. 2 (9-of-13) from the free-throw line in a 1-1 week for York College. In a home encounter against Lehman College (Jan. 11), Dessources netted 21 points (10-of-17 FG), grabbed 14 rebounds, and blocked two shots. Beating CCNY 63-24 on (Jan. 13), the center totaled 20 points (6-of-15 FG), 14 rebounds, and six blocks. Dessources pushed her season tally to 11 double-doubles on the season and 52 for her career. 

Through 13 games, the Harlem native is averaging 18.8 points, 14.5 rebounds, and a career-high 3.0 blocks per game. Efficiency-wise, Dessources is shooting 49.8 percent (102-of-205) from the floor and 61.5 percent (40-of-65) from the charity stripe.

Dessources is atop the CUNYAC leaderboard in rebounding and ranks highly in scoring (4th), blocks per game (2nd), and field goal percentage (2nd). In the latest NCAA Division III Statistical Rankings Summary, Dessources is third in rebounds per game, tied for sixth in double-doubles, tied for eighth in blocks per game, 46th in points per game, and 55th in field goal percentage.
