FLUSHING, NY --- (www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College freshman Katryna Francois has been named the CUNYAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Rookie of the Week following her performances during the Dec. 5-11 reporting period.

Against competition from NCAA Division I, II and III at the Wagner College Seahawk Shootout on December 9 inside Ocean Breeze Park Athletic Complex, Francois ran the 60-meter dash in 8.85.  Her performance is the CUNYAC's top time in the event.  The Queens native also competed in the 300-meter dash, clocking in at 48.11

Francois and the Cardinals will continue their season on January 14 at 1 p.m. as they participate in the College of New Jersey Lions Invitational inside New Balance Track & Field Center @ The Armory.
