www.YORKATHLETICS.com)Ā Throughout the month of April, yorkathletics.com will highlight those who have given us everything they had on the playing fields with senior features for each team's 2020-21 senior class.Ā With the cancellation of sports for the 2020-21 academic year, York athletics will celebrate and recognize our seniors online and on social media with our #YorkSeniorDay.Ā Today, head coach
Gregory Welch celebrates the three senior members of the men's cross country team and one on the women's squad for their dedication to York athletics.

Emely Cuevas, a native of the Bronx, graduated from the Marble Hill School for International Studies.Ā From 2018-19, Cuevas competed in nine meets and was the second Cardinal to cross the finish line at the 2018 CUNYAC Championships to place 30th on the 6k course in 31:17.3.Ā She followed with a 32nd place showing to clock a time of 34:29.3 at the 2019 CUNYAC Championships.Ā Cuevas,Ā a two-time CUNYAC Indoor Track & Field All-Star, was also named a CUNYAC Outdoor Track & Field Sportsmanship Team selection.Ā She will be graduating with a degree in community health education.

Kaylash Autar, a local product from Jamaica, is a graduate of the High School for Law Enforcement and School Safety.Ā Autar ran in 12 meets from 2017-19, highlighted by a 26th place finish to lead York at the 2017 CUNYAC ChampionshipsĀ in 32:58.4.Ā He closed out his career at the 2019 CUNYAC Championship race with a 65th place effort in 42:09.9.Ā Autar, who was a two-year member of the track & field program (2017-19), will be graduating with a degree in biology.Ā

Hailing from Bridgetown, Barbados,
Terrell Trumpet arrived at York as a graduate of Transit Tech Career & Technical Education (CTE) High School. Trumpet ran in 17 meets for the Cardinals from 2017-19, and registered his top CUNYAC Championship finish in 2018, when he turned in an 8kĀ performance of 32:44.5 to land in 26th place as York's top finisher.Ā He closed out his career with a time of 38:57.6 (58th place) at the 2019 CUNYAC Championship and also finished 28th (33:16.6) at the 2017 year-end race.Ā Trumpet was a two-year member of the track & field team (2017-18, 2019-20) and was recognized as a 2017-18 CUNYAC Indoor Track & Field All-Star.Ā He will be graduating with a political science degree.

Keshawn Ross is a native of Rosedale, New York and a graduate of Springfield Gardens High School.Ā From 2017-19, Ross competed in 16 meets.Ā At the 2019 CUNYAC Championship race, Ross clocked in at 35:29.3 to register York's top finish to cross the line 40th in his final race.Ā Ross also ran at the 8k course at the CUNYAC Championships in 2017 (47th place, 37:33.9) and 2018 (60th place, 38:43.3).Ā The 2019 CUNYAC Sportsmanship Team honoree was also a member of the track & field team, where he was a two-time CUNYAC All-Star and a four-time CUNYAC Sportsmanship Team selection.Ā Ā Ā
