www.YORKATHLETICS.com) York College men's and women's cross country teams ran the Van Cortlandt Park trails Sunday at the CUNYAC Championships. Following the conclusion of the meet, seniors
Taylor Bellmon,
Jaylene Coye,
Andrew George,
Shawn Nemoto and
Shevon Walker were recognized with the annual Senior Day ceremony for their dedication to York Athletics.
The Cardinal women totaled 111 points to place fifth out of six teams. Leading the charge for York was
Taylor Bellmon, who turned in a historical performance, completing the 6K course in 31:07.2 to place seventh. Bellmon's seventh-place finish is York's top performance at CUNYAC Championships since 2009, when Taneisha Renaud placed fifth (27:04.0). York also posted another top-20 finish as
Jaylene Coye clocked in at 34:32.9 to place 16th.
Clesa Deane (42:10.2) and
Shalanie McIntosh (42:10.5) finished 31st and 32nd, respectively, while
Nayelly Rojas rounded out the Cardinal lineup in 37th (46:28.8).
In a field of 39, Annabel Gregg won the race in 25:48.6 to lead Hunter College to the title with 33 points.

On the men's side, York produced 131 points to finish in sixth place. The Cardinals posted a pair of top-25 finishes, led by
Shawn Nemoto, who covered the 8k course in 35:51.6 to finish 21st.
Djelili Okoro followed with a 23rd-place finish in 37:03.1 while
Andrew George clocked in at 39:46.1 to finish 32nd.
Glenver Stuart finished in 37th (41:04.6) and
Shevon Walker crossed the line 43rd (45:35.4) to close out York's scoring five. Also in the lineup were
Ryan Lahens (46th, 46:58.8),
Anthony Esguerra (51st, 51:01.0) and
Hakeem Griffiths (53rd, 58:36.6), who all made their CUNYAC Championship debuts.
Brian Guillermo was the top performer in the field of 54 runners with a winning time of 28:38.3 to carry Hunter to the team title with 32 points.
