Swimming Wraps Up Regular Season With Loss to Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y—The York College men's and women's swimming team wrapped up the regular season on Tuesday, falling to the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island. 
 
The women lost by a score of 114-60, while the men were defeated 178-27.  York won only one event on the evening and that was by Romea Noel in the 1,000-yard freestyle (15:41.73). 
 
In the 50-yard freestyle, Kerry-Ann Bailey placed second with a time of 30.33 and in the 100-yard freestyle, Mariana Hoyos was also second in 1:10.85.
 
The York men are now 1-9, 0-4 CUNYAC. The women drop to 1-11, 0-6 CUNYAC.  The Cardinals return to action for the CUNYAC Championships, which will run from February 4-6 at Lehman College.
