Cardinals Struggle, Lose to College of Staten Island

BROOKLYN, N.Y. – The York College women's soccer team fell to CUNYAC opponent, the College of Staten Island on Tuesday afternoon by the score of 6-0.
 
CSI dominated on the offensive front, outshooting the Cardinals 35-2, while scoring four goals in the first half and two in the second half. Jennifer Cosenza and Kristy Colangelo each had a pair of goals for the Dolphins, adding a goal each from Danielle Alexandrini and Danielle Smith. Melissa Gelardi nabbed four assists on the day.
 
In spite of the loss, Cardinals' goalie, Kiara Libreros, tallied up a season-high 17 saves. 
 
York (1-5, 1-2 CUNYAC) will look to get back into the win column this Thursday, September 25th, when they take on St. Joseph's College at Aviator Field at 5:00p.m.
